CANDLE CARE
Easy tips for the perfect flame, meaning longer burn time and less wastage
WOODEN WICKS
To light for the first time tip the candle and light each edge of the wick - this can take a few goes on the first burn.
If you are having trouble melt the wax around the wick to encourage the wick to light and stay lit.
On subsequent burns remove the charred wood before lighting (using a tissue to pinch the top works well) or trim to 5mm
…enjoy the flicker and gentle crackle.
COTTON WICKS
Before you light your candle trim the wick to 5mm - every time!
Light for 4 hours on the first burn - or make sure the wax is as close to the glass.
This will stop tunnelling (wax wastage around the edge) as wax has a memory!
Burning for 2-3 hours each time you light the candle will help the wax burn evenly.
NEVER BURN A CANDLE FOR MORE THAN 4 HOURS
KEEP THE WAX POOL CLEAR FROM DEBRIS
AND AWAY FROM DRAFTS
